Polish Association of Ostomy Nurses
Polish Association of Ostomy Nurses was registered on 29th March, 2006 with its seat in Warsaw. The Association is non-political, voluntary and autonomous. The area of its activity is the territory of Poland. Taking into account the improvement of the nursing quality offered to the ostomy patients, the Association is extremely focused on continual education of the nurses in Poland.
Our main aim is to increase not only knowledge, but ethical standards as well. In order to achieve the appointed aims, the Association organizes discussions, conferences, workshops and specialized courses concerning various ostomy problems. In its activity the Association would like to integrate the whole circle of medical professionals that provide ostomy care to all patients. In future the cooperation with surgical nurses, oncological nurses, family nurses and terminal nurses is especially desired.
